Here's a Decision

Why We Built This

Every day you make hundreds of decisions. Most of them are small. But the ones that are not small, the ones that actually shape your finances, your career, your health, and your future, those are the ones people tend to get stuck on the longest.

Decision fatigue is real. Research consistently shows that the more choices and information a person is exposed to, the worse their judgment becomes over time. By the time you sit down to think through something important, your brain has already spent its best energy on things that did not matter nearly as much.

We built Here's a Decision because that problem is getting worse, not better. The internet gives you access to infinite opinions. AI gives you infinite words. But infinite information does not help you make a decision. It usually makes it harder. You do not need more to read. You need someone to look at your actual situation and give you a straight answer.

Who Built This

Here's a Decision was built by Marc Julot. Marc holds a Master of Arts in Computer Information Systems and spent over a decade as an educator before moving into data work across public agencies. That combination, teaching people how to think through problems and working with large-scale data every day, is exactly what this site is built on.

Every scoring engine on this site was designed by hand, factor by factor, threshold by threshold. The weights and thresholds are grounded in publicly available research from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Reserve, the National Center for Education Statistics, peer-reviewed studies, and industry reports. Where a number appears in a recommendation, there is a source behind it. Every tool cites its sources directly.

How It Works

Every tool on this site works the same way. You answer a short set of structured questions, no typing required, no open-ended prompts. Then our scoring engine weighs your specific inputs against each other and gives you a direct recommendation with the reasoning behind it.

We do not hedge. We do not say "it depends." We look at what you told us and we give you a clear answer based on your situation. That is the whole point.

Our tools are built to give you the recommendation that fits your numbers. We are not replacing professional advice, and we always encourage you to consult the right professional before making a final move. But we believe most people already know what question they are asking. They just need someone to run the numbers and say it out loud.
